March 2010
I just set off the smoke detector while trying to cook french fries. Needless to say, they were burned to shit. That’s gotta be a sign.
So, Bayonetta is picking up, but it’s still not holding my attention.
Forza 3 is fun, but only for about an hour at most. Then I’m like, “Well, it’s just more racing.” Hopefully, GT5 doesn’t make me feel the same way.
I started Mass Effect 2, and would’ve played more if I hadn’t gotten tired.
Now, to continue watching The Imaginarium of Dr....

Bayonetta is fun, but I’m not used to the save system. In the Uncharted games, auto-saves were around every corner. Bayonetta has no checkpoints. Then again, I’ve only played one level.

The Lovely Bones
Lord of the Rings made me want to get into film as a career. So I hold Peter Jackson in high esteem. I was able to excuse the length of King Kong, because it was well-made… but this is a different story.
The Lovely Bones is based on the best-selling novel of the same name… which I admittedly never read. Peter Jackson actually personally purchased the rights to the book to make...
Last night, I was going to go out and party, but I stayed in with some friends instead. We got buzzed, watched The Big Lebowski, and once again I proved myself to be the least intellectual one in the room, merely there to provide some form of delirious comedy. But hey, it happens.
So, check it...
I’m listing every movie I watch in 2010. Here’s my progress so far…

So I might not be moving… unless I find a really awesome place that I’m satisfied with, I’ll be staying at my current residence for an extra month, then moving my stuff into storage and going home/internships for the summer. Then my parents are going to help me find a new place in August.
I have no huge problems with either of these plans.
So, my parents were in town for the weekend, and it was a great visit. We found a hopeful apartment for me, and I’ll be moving next month.
Now it’s time to pack up my backpack for school tomorrow. It’s gonna be a great quarter!

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune & Uncharted 2: Among...
Drake’s Fortune was released as a launch title for the Playstation 3… which was a good while back. The game has hardly aged a bit in relation to games that came out a month ago, and that’s saying a lot, I think. Seeing as I didn’t have a Playstation 3 at the time (and no desire to have one), I didn’t play it at the time. Recently, Among Thieves got a lot of...
My life will be going through much more drastic changes than I thought in the next few months.
First off, I’ll be moving out a month earlier than I imagined. And I’ll be getting (ideally) a one-bedroom apartment. Living alone will probably suck shit. I’ve been surrounded by some great people in the recent year. Corey, my downstairs neighbor for example, is a great guy. But...
Grades
As I predicted, no A’s. My Psychology grade slipped to a C, which is unfortunate, but I needed to put it on the back burner to make way for strides in my other classes. It sucks though, because if I had given just a little more effort, I could’ve gotten two A’s and a B, easily.

Big Fan
Big Fan is about a 30-something man who is obsessed with the Giants, especially their quarterback. One night, he follows said idol to a club, where he is accused of harassment and beaten to a pulp. What follows is a dramatic tale of a man who is truly devoted to his team.
This is comedian Patton Oswalt’s biggest role yet (aside from voicing the rat in Ratatouille), and he does a fine...

The Time Traveler's Wife
Pro-tip for screenwriters… don’t write about time traveling unless you want to confuse the crap out of the majority of your audience. It’s going to happen… the viewer will start to question the likelihood of certain events (even if time traveling were possible) and they will be get confused. Also, the pacing can get really messy.
Luckily, someone was thinking enough to...

Summer Wars
It’s been a while since I’ve done a movie review, so I figured - I’m sick, I’m bored, I just finished watching this movie… I’ll write about it.
Just to get it out of the way, I need to juxtapose this movie to the second Digimon feature, Our War Game, which I reviewed a few months ago (here). It’s also the second act of the American adapted Digimon...
Love is infinitely fragile, which is why I don’t take part in it.
It has been a very rough few weeks. Where do I begin.
Two weeks ago, we were shooting our final for Lighting and Field. Wake up 5 AM, work till 7 PM. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then, we did the same thing the next weekend, minus Sunday. Despite the grueling schedule, we survived. And our project turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.

I’m gonna pop in 300 while I study for my Lighting and Field final exam. Then Blake will hopefully have goodies when he gets home and we’ll use those said goodies to enhance our first listen-through of Gorillaz’s new album.
